“After 8 years of dialing in our identity, our mission, core values, business model, etc at our first location and after very successfully launching our 2nd location in 2023, I knew we were on to something.

We have something special here at Steel Strength Training and it’s our duty to take it to as many people as possible.

After considering different parts of the Birmingham area, we settled on Chelsea.

So we opened the Chelsea location in the Narrows in June 2024 and we’ve been having a blast serving our clients!

I like to call Carly a quiet competitor. Behind her welcoming smile is a girl that will love you well AND be fiercely committed to getting you results in a way that’s safe and effective for you.

She does an incredible job changing clients’ lives and running her facility.

And a fun story about Carly- she worked as a part-time Personal Trainer at Steel years ago in college. She left Steel once she graduated. Then we randomly reconnected at the end of 2023.

At that point I knew we were going to open a third location but I didn’t know where. But I KNEW deep in my soul that Carly HAD to be the one to run it. She patiently waited for us to work out the details and I am SO glad she did!

I think of the C.S. Lewis quote that basically says if you TRY to be unique you probably won’t be, but if you just do good work for good work’s sake you’ll be unique. That perfectly describes Steel. We obsess over the basics- Personal Training, Strength Training, Nutrition Coaching, and Accountability. No crash diets or crazy workout plans here. We’re a breath of fresh air for people who want a simple, effective, enjoyable plan.
